Dreams?

Postby DeWayneTN » March 22nd, 2005, 4:39 pm

I've had some interesting dreams lately that have had me thinking about all the memorable dreams I've had through my life. I wrote about dreams on my Blog, on some interesting things I've learned about them, and mentioned some of my most common ones. So I thought maybe it would be interesting to hear what others' most common dreams are.

I've dreamed several times that I could fly(like Superman) and then I'll land and someone will start chasing me and I go to fly and can't  then I start running really fast away from them and I just know I'mm leaving them behind and then I look over my shoulder and they are right behind me ](*,)

I forgot to mention flying on the poll. That's a common one. In my dreams, whenever I'm flying, it feels more like I'm swimming in air.

The three most common dreams are flying, being nude in public (which
generally shows a person who is afraid that he won't be able to do
everything he plans) and falling.

Ihad a stupid dream last night. I was playing for a revival. The piano
was a baby grand. in the middle of a really good song service, one of
the piano legs broke, putting the keyboard in my lap. I kept on playing.

so someone with more than psychology one O one, tell me what that
one means.

I very rarely dream, or at least remember my dreams. My wife thinks it is because I don't get enough sleep, usually 4-5 hours.

This is not listed under the poll.

But does anyone have a thought on this.

My daughter and I both in the last week have had a dream of darkness.
Being incased in darkness.. Her's a light came on.. mine it was very dim, but I could still see.
Her's had something to do with getting rid of a beautiful green and black snake and mine had to do with getting away from a person who wanted to harm me.

The last dream I had that I can remember was this:
I was in my kitchen washing dishes ... I looked out the window and saw planes .. lots of them .. then I heard what sounded like bombs going off .. saw fire ... fire all around me .. then I woke up.

I had something like that.

A few years ago beofre I got saved I would have these dreams, I would be in a foggy room at a round table. My side of the room was grayish the other side got more foggy as you went to it. I herd a voice, telling me You cannot get free..

Was not sure why I had this dream for weeks, leading up to a revial we had at church, were I was SET FREE, from so many things that had me bound.

Reoccuring dreams for me:

I have moved into a new house. Usually it is quite large and old.

Dream that once amonth at least.

A variation is I find a sealed room in a house from my past. ANd when I enter it I find everything was just shut up as it was deacades before. Decades old magazines or newspapers are about, plates of food that have crumbled to dust.

Lately, I'm wondering why I have dreamed of a 20 something Katherine Hepburn with kinky blonde hair dressed in black leather.

I have this recurring dream that has two different scenarios to it.

The dream is that I am watching over my students/youth campers and we are being chased by either tornados or Jason (from Friday the 13th movies - I must have watched too many 80's horror movies). I am constantly trying to protect them or get them to safety. The dream about tornados happened to me again this past Saturday night at the Youth Conference. I kept waking up in a total panic and then would go back to sleep just to dream it all over again. Weird.

I wrote something in my blog of some info I heard about to keep you from going back into the same dream. I use it when I have that rare nightmare. You switch positions, because your dreams are sometimes associated with what sleeping position you're in.

I've had some terrible dreams after this weekend. :)

Usually my dreams consist of one of two things:

1) I'm fighting someone, they can get all the punches in they want...but when I punch someone it's like I'm punching through molasses or something like that.

2) I date some girl, then she disappears and I never see her again.

Sucks, dude.
