We are going into "official" week #10 of Radical U, which is sort of a milestone. We did training and preparation for 4 weeks prior to that. So, with the exception of the first Friday night in December when we had a church-wide Christmas production, we've met for 13 Friday nights in a row.
My wife and I have never been so thankful to be a part of something in our lives, I can tell you that. While RU is an addiction recovery program, it is really a discipleship program. We have had a minimum of 12 and a top out at 21 in attendance so far and we've not even advertised it or spoken at length with referral sources. That is our next step. Literature is designed and ordered. Contacts have been made, and we are having a sign made for the front lawn (which, we're told by the Reformers Unanimous folks, is the #1 way in which people visit for the first time -- I'm not sure on that working that way here, we'll see).
We have our logistics worked out pretty well though, and we're ready to grow.
Our own folks who are involved have raved about the impact of the curriculum and the Friday night classes. I am utterly amazed at what God is doing through this. So, we continue to be very encouraged.
