Better make that check out before church.

I always do.

I think everyone should have to give online and therefore no offering is received at church. :D

I also suppose that a preacher should never say God moved on me to receive an offering, unexpectedly, because had he prayed beforehand he would have known that's what God wanted otherwise we'd have unprepared people wanting to give and thus needing change.
I have piped unto you, and ye have not danced!

I actually have heard of churches doing that, they ask that tithes be mailed or sent in electronically so that no one sees you give.

I don't tend to "feel led" to do an extra offering, the only time I can think of where I've seen this done or done this myself was when a need arose for someone in the church, and an offering was taken up, but the opportunity to give later if you didn't have it at the time was generally presented along with it.

At the church I go to we can pay tithes and give offering online but I dont think that should be for everyone in the church. There is still some who dont have computers. They can write a check, use debit machine or make change in church office before church. For those who are shut in they mail in a check. If there is one in the pew who wants to give in the offering and they want to make change in the offering plate the usher asks that one to go to back of church and they follow the usher to the office and they get change there.
