Google Chrome (I like)

Postby Mole_J » February 23rd, 2010, 11:46 am

I have been using Firefox for maybe 7 or 8 years now. I switched from Explorer because I like the tabs, it was more secure, it was faster, and used less computer resources.

Lately with Firefox 3.5, I have noticed Firefox being a little slow opening sites, and using a lot of computer resources. I also have the problem of it not closing correctly, have to go through task manager to close it. Firefox does become unusable after being open for a little while, just very slow and not responsive for several seconds. I have to close Firefox and reopen and it works fine.

Yesterday I found a website, (http://www.ninjavideo.net) that has a lot of Banged Up Abroad (Locked Up Abroad here) shows. I usually show my class these, they do a good job of story telling, it is easy to understand, it is one of my favorite shows also.

The website has a download of DIVX and I upgraded that included a download of Google Chrome.

Today I have switched to Chrome, I may still use Firefox some, but I think I am going to use Chrome almost exclusively. It is so much faster and does not use as much resources as Firefox.

I was looking through the extensions just a few minutes ago. Is there any good extensions for Chrome?

I have used Chrome exclusively for several months and love it! Way better than EI and Firefox IMHO.

Chrome is so fast that even if you decide to run IE7,8 you can download Chrome's frame plugins and your IE will run 10 times faster.

Can you guys explain to me the concept of plug-ins?

This usually adds more usability to your internet browser by allowing you to run programs in your internet browser. Most of these are for media (videos, audio, documents, etc).

There are also extensions that do similar things, just giving your more options and choices from your internet browser.

Thanks Mole,

I just edited that question out because I just started playing with the plug-ins in Chrome and realized how monumentally stupid my question was....

Chrome is pretty sweet....
