Winter of 2009-2010

Winter of 2009-2010 Could Be Worst in 25 Years

http://www.accuweather.com/news-weather ... &year=2010

Nearly the entire eastern half of the United States is enduring bitterly cold temperatures not experienced since 1985. Even Florida, which has been hovering around freezing levels overnight recently, is also feeling the almost-nationwide chill.

"It'll be like the great winters of the '60s and '70s," said AccuWeather.com Chief Meteorologist and Expert Long Range Forecaster Joe Bastardi.

The last time a large swath of severely low temperatures struck the nation was in January 1985. That historic arctic outbreak had below-zero temperatures Fahrenheit stretching from Chicago eastward to New York City, and all the way south to Macon, Ga.

It was so cold last night that Frosty The Snowman & Jack Frost went to Wally World and bought electric blankets.
May your golf ball land in the greens not the still waters.

'Bout 20-22 here, I guess, as I type. I think they're right in comparing it to 1985. Reminds ME of it anyway. Haven't had such a cold blast as this in a while, and esp. no snow here for a long, long time -- longer than I can ever remember since we had a real snow. It's been 10 years or longer since we had more than one or two inches. Personally, I doubt we'll see that this week here. Air's just too dry.

Now, now, now. It isn't cold people, just ask Al Gore. If you believe him this is the hottest the earth has been in at least 10,000 years. :?

If it gets any hotter I'm going to have to wear two layers of thermal underwear.

Wearing underarmor at work. That stuff works. This has been the coldest winter we have had in years. Usually have 1-2 weeks of temps under 50, not this year.
To God be the Glory.

bummer, my wife is a good planner for these things and already had a contigency plan. Tell Rob next year. It is always nice to see him and the kids love him.

Our guest speaker is flying out of Nashville and his flights are being re-routed. we'll hope and pray he makes it. Camp would never be the same if I had to take his place behind the pulpit.
