Lord, I offer my life to You, everything I've been through...use it for Your glory! Lord, I offer my days to You, lifting my praise to You, as a pleasing sacrifice...Lord, I offer You my life."

Lord, judge me severely, correct me ruthlessly, and when needed, rebuke me thoroughly, so I can serve you more perfectly, being void of all hypocrisy and being meek and lowly of heart.

Lord, please instill in me an intense and awesome fear of the Lord.
Thanks, Brent "RamboPreacher" Hoefling

Lord, renew my mind daily with your word. Thank you for loving me first, freely giving the gift of righteousness, inviting me into your house as an adopted son and heir.

and Lord, help me recognize that what I do for Your Kingdom is for Your glory. Help me put the needs of others before my own. Help me to focus on pleasing you and in that find fulfillment and contentment.

John 15:15 (New International Version)

15 no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

i corinthians 7:22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servent, is the Lords freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant. Lord i am happy being your servent, because through that i am free.

John 15:15 ( Jesus says )
15 no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.

John 8:35-36
35. And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever. 36. If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Galatians 4:4-7
4. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5. To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Galatians 3:26-29
26 You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Clearly the amazing finished work of Jesus set us FREE. We are no longer servants.. but Sons. Being a Son we will receive the Spirit of HIS SON ( Jesus ) into our very hearts. Wow. Praise God!

Will the Son serve his Father? Absolutely.. but not out of fear of any punishment any longer.. but out of this amazing Love and being an heir just like Jesus. Sharing the amazing Good News of what Christ has done for us all.

Servent leadership

Postby dawgs10 » November 18th, 2009, 5:23 am

john 12:26 if any man serve me, let him follow me, and where i am, there shall also my servent be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.

galatians 5:13 for brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

thank you Lord that not only am i a servent of yours, but because of the libery this gives me, it also gives me love, to serve others. thank you Lord. there is nothing better on this earth than to serve you. thank you Lord that you call me Son, and because of this i have the grace to serve you.

Remember Luke's parable of the Prodigal Son?

Luke 15:11-32

17"When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! 18I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. 19. I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.' 20So he got up and went to his father.

"But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. 21"The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'

22"But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23. Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate.

...

28"The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. 29But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. 30But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!'

31" 'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' "

This is a beautiful illustration of many Church people today. They have at some point fell short and only want to humbly serve in their Fathers house as servants. The problem is that God doesn't accept you back as servants... but SONS! Heirs! Wow.

Remember the hard working brother ( Religious Church Member ).. the one whom never left? Worked his fingers to the bone? He was so angry because he didn't get the special treatment of the returning Son. After all his years.. he only wanted a GOAT to make merry with his Friends ( payment for his service)... yet he never did because he only thought of himself as a servant... not a SON that could FREELY access it all. Wow.

Think deeply and see which are you? A servant or a son?
Are you working hard to receive your goat? Or are you freely being accepted as a son from your heavenly Father?

God Bless!

romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mrecies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God , which is your resonable service.

thanks again Lord. i know your word is true. and that although i am your son i am given the privilege to serve. thank you that its my choice because of free will. and i choose to serve you. thank you for the choice you allow me to have, and although i set at your feet i also get up and have the privilege to serve as well. thank you for allowing me to be your hands and feet on earth. it is a wonderful blessing to be able to not only set at the table with you and receive you freely, but also to share the love of God to others. remind me that at anytime in ministry i am not willing to take out the trash or mop the floor i have no right to place my self over any one else. Lord help me to lead by example as you did on earth.

Exactly well said... but let's not pressure security in salvation based on works or use it for stirring up to better behavior.

We do not need to fear releasing truth. It will set us Free. When we know whom we are... we are better able to articulate it and fully embrace our rights as sons ( and daughters ).

We'll then perform service from Love as Jesus instructs in our hearts.

God Bless!!

and Lord remind daily that according to your word in hebrews 10:26 that if we wilfully sin after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, so help me to understand that we are to live right. and according to hebrews 10:30 that the Lord will judge his people.
