Stimulus? U.S. to buy Chinese condoms, ending Alabama jobs

Call it a condom conundrum.

At a time when the federal government is spending billions of stimulus dollars to stem the tide of U.S. layoffs, should that same government put even more Americans out of work by buying cheaper foreign products?

In this case, Chinese condoms.

I think it is almost funny.

The Chinese products we have been getting lately are faulty.......OKAY ..then.......I know I would want to use one of those to ....er....keep down disease or whatever.

Its not the quality of production i am thinking about...its the fact that here we are again as our government is trying to get people back to work, is now allowing 300 jobs go to the wayside for the sake of outsourcing to another country! i dont get the logic? Am i missing something on this?

I have the same problem with Obama proposing to have the veteran's health care come from the private sector. FIRST, the soldiers contracted with the U.S. Gov't. for their health care to be provided should something go wrong. SECOND, isn't Obama pushing for national health care? So, he wants nationalized health care on the one hand, but is abandoning one form of it on the other.
