Colonic. Are you brave enough to admit to having one?

Postby HarmlessDove » February 3rd, 2009, 8:02 am

I'm starting to think we need a medical forum. Ha.

Yes, I am posting for all the world to see that I am scheduled for a colonic next week.

I call my mom (n2jesus), the doodoo guru. She is the spokeswoman for colon health. I have a friend who gets one every 6 weeks.

I cringe at the thought but think I will be glad that I did it.

Any of you ever had one?

I've considered it, but what I researched didn't really bear out that it was beneficial. Other than their ads and advocates, there is no consensus that it helps. To each his own.

I did post here before a funny sign I saw in my town a couple of years ago for the "grand opening" of a hydrocolonic health business. I just thought that was funny.

If in the middle of your colonic, you go into a comma, would that be a semi-colonic? 8)

I just go to Taco Bell whenever I need a good cleansing. Costs a lot less than having a 'doctor' (insert word for the action of a vacuum cleaner, also apparently a dirty word caught in the filter that also means 'stinks') things out with a vacuum cleaner.

I just don't see the point. When it comes to excrement, my motto is: "This too, shall pass".

And it shall pass on its own, without the need for a tube to be stuck where the sun don't shine.

I wonder if it helps. I've done a cleansing fast before, that seemed to help!

Well, hope it all comes out okay for you! :P
..I press on to take hold of that
for which Christ took hold of me.

No one should have colonics done every 6 weeks, and really not at all. They can do damage to the colon by changing the natural flora and can often cause fluid imbalance.

I say it in 2 words.............STAY AWAY!!!

This person she is speaking of has a reason for keeping their colon clean...You can figure it out...

The Dr isn't going to stink anything out...there will be a gentle flow of water induced to cleanse...If you have had life long problems with being clogged up...Then you would understand the need...

Every 6 weeks for sure is obsessive!

I know someone that gained a massive amount of weight after they had regular treatments. That person used to be 150 lbs in high school.
