I have a question??

Postby doris » July 10th, 2008, 3:09 pm

This being the election season I'm sure we all get emails concerning each candidate, the do's and don't's.

Lately I have been getting them that state, and I quote "According to the book of Revelations the anti-Christ will be a man, in his 40's and of MUSLIM descent. Is this true, and if so, where in Revelations, or other??

Thanks.

Doris.

You know what a cow patty is?

Go out find you a dried one. Examine it closely. You're closer to the Book of Revelations than they are.

Revelations does not even use he word Anti-Christ.

There is no such thing as Muslim descent. Muslim is a person who observes Islam the religion; it isn't a race or ethnicity or even a place. Whoever wrote that the antichrist is described in Revelation as being of Muslim descent also doesn't believe in Revelation ---- Islam followed the book of Revelation by at several hundred years and is mentioned nowhere in it (not even in a prophetic sense). Revelation also does not mention the age of anyone who would be the/an antichrist. The emails are false, patently so.

agreed, any emails with that information is just wanting to use shock and awe and the general perception of the book of revelation as it's inspiration (unfortunately).

There are many groups trying to make Obama be "The" AntiChrist; nearly all based on an eschatology-view that is a certain paradigm, so it seems to be Biblical from that point of view, in which many Protestant groups believe. so it appeals to them.

(however, in many places, being Muslim is similar to being a "Jew" in heritage. it is a way of expressing the general nationality of someone, not their particular religious beliefs.)

True, true. And, we all probably think that way, but I'm gonna give the author of a book in the Bible a little more credit than I'll give myself!!

:)

I wonder how many political/religious emails I get every day with this kind of "information? I don't know. I do know that most of them are only there to defame and deface, and not actually present any facts of the flaming/slamming that is going on.

don't forget that the Bible also says "God moves in strange and mysterious ways, His wonders to perform". :)

When I answered back with some of your thoughts, I was lambasted.

"Thanks for straightening US OUT. Reverend Wise."

You know I'm enough like Gerald, to just love it. Thanks again, guys.

I agree with everyone that the statements in the email to Doris are hogwash and equal with cow patties.

I don't want to hi-jack this topic but would like to interject and propose a study in another thread located in the proper area. True, Islam is not mentioned in the scriptures but when the roots are searched out, I see it there and believe that it is extremely prophetic.

If anyone would like to do this, please let me know. I am only interested in us studying this together, no arguments desired..........please.
Revelation 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints; those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Y’shua.

Revelation 22:12-13
“And behold, I am coming quickly, and my reward is with me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last. Blessed are those who do His Commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.”

I'm through, I have my info and just like you don't intend to argue.
