Holiday plans?

Postby DeWayneTN » July 1st, 2008, 6:02 am

What are everyone's holiday plans?

Mt. Juliet is having a community 4th of July thing, and Chris Sligh and Jeff Deyo are gonna be having a concert during the festivities. We usually go to Lebanon because they have a very good free fireworks show, but I can't pass up free music! I LOVE the song that Chris Sligh (big white guy with afro from last year's American Idol) has on Christian radio right now.

having a short week is a good thing. especially since my work also allows me to work "remotely" (read as work from home), one or two times a week, as necessary. :) Today is my last day at work this week. :)
Thanks, Brent "RamboPreacher" Hoefling

My church will be holding the largest 4th of July celebration in Springfield (and possibly all of Missouri)...Phil Wickham will lead worship, we'll have airshows, concessions, all that jazz. As a member of the choir, I will be singing in the Human Flag. It's gonna rock and I'm really excited.

Will be at my sister's for grill, chill, boardgames and fireworks.

Her house and food looks like a 4th of July Special on the Food Network. :D

I'm staying home, I have 8 gift bags to crochet for a friend's wedding and 1 pair of socks to finish knitting, a craft/sewing room to organize. I may have some co-workers over for dinner and we will watch the fireworks from the yard. The first thing I will do is put up the American flag, this is the reason for the holiday.

Boating, tubing, jetskiing on Smith Lake and eating a lot of good but bad for you food from the grill, homemade ice cream, lots and lots of Diet Mt. Dew or sweet tea, watch fireworks at night, then drive 50 miles home to get a good night's sleep for yard work on Saturday.

Last Saturday, my daughter, being in an American flag hysteria for about 2 months  :!: , helped me mount a large flag on the end of her jungle gym. She loves it. She's been singing "Ramdoflag" (that's how she first sang Grand Ole Flag to me a couple of weeks ago -- then, of course, got it right when I told her what it said and meant).

Ondra and Gracee are coming to visit me. We will eat that's for sure. My family all lives here so we will go house to house. On the pretense that Ondra needs to see everyone.
