must there be

Must there be Biblical support for every "manifestation" of God? If so please provide Scriptural support? I am on the fence here and will explain later.

well i dont see how there could be. God is always doing things and surely he will manifest in ways not mentioned in the bible. The answer is that he will not manifest in a way that is contrary to the bible.

I have read where different ones have went head to head here similar threads. I don't think that a manifestation has to be a quote from the bible so to speak, but it should be able to alien with scriptures soundness. Thus the Holy Ghost and the word will agree.

If the manifestation is way out in left field, not basicly sound with the scriptures, then I have a problem with it. That is my thoughts.

Oltimer I think you've hit it.

Many Modern day "manifestations" are alien to Biblical soundness.

Gerald would you still go along with me if I corrected my spelling and it reads like this:

"but it should be able to align with scriptures soundness. Thus the Holy Ghost and the word will agree."

Yes, at least in my opinion, but there is no direct scripture correlation as you have asked.

If I may assume that we all believe that God's Word is Inspired and available for teaching, reproof, etc.; I do not believe that every "manifestation" requires a direct scriptural reference. With that said, I do believe that the manifestations should not go against God's Word; and that as has been said that there must be at least indirect correlation by aligning with His Word and the orthodox teachings contained therein.

I believe it was Augustine that wrote something about that eloquence without wisdom may draw people to emotion and move them, but it profits nothing. whereas there is profit to be gained from wisdom, and wisdom with eloquence even more so.

John 21:25

And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.

Could the above scripture be an indication of the perceived necessity for ABC formulas concerning the works of God? :)

Last night HDnet showed Escape from New York and Escape from LA back to back. Talk about going from a classic movie to a steaming pile of dung (but I watched them both).
