Favorite Cookies or Candy?

Postby jinjer » December 9th, 2007, 4:17 pm

With Christmas baking/cooking season in full swing, I thought I would ask this question. What is your favorite Christmas cookie or candy?

I have so many, but here are a few (homemade of course):

White Mice (sort of like a mexican wedding cookie but better)
Classic Fudge
white chocolate/peppermint bark

Springerles

Anise-flavored cookies made with powdered sugar and egg whites, and shaped using specially carved wooden molds, originally from Germany.

Which reminds me....it's a good thing Louisville has German bakeries.

Anybody got the recipe for cornflake candy. My grandma makes it, but I keep losing the recipe. It's the one with peanut butter, cornflakes, and I think corn syrup.

DaJudge,

I'll call my grandma again. Do you want the recipe? It's super simple.

For Christmas it has to be Fruit Cake bought from the Collin St. Bakery in Coracanna, Tx.
You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.

Mom's home-made Carmels
Snow-bites (almond bark covered crushed pretzels, instead of just dipped, crush the bag, mix and let cool in clumps)
