Anybody watch that finale fiasco? Joan Rivers DID cause the design company to quit, lied about it, and shouted down Annie the poker player (who is obnoxious, but correct) when the truth was revealed. The audience was loaded with Joan's gay supporters who boo'ed and shouted to drown out Annie.

I tire of those tactics...

Yes, she talked over Annie. Just like Annie did everyone else the previous 10 episodes.

I actually liked the fact that Donald Trump chose someone that didn't play dirty all season. It is a rarity. He usually goes for the cut throat, manipulative type.

Both finalists were people difficult to work with, frankly. Part of the challenge was working with the assigned design team, and Joan clearly failed to do that.

Go back and watch the tape: look at the back 2 or 3 rows of the auditorium during the live show... rows of men standing and cheering loudly for Joan... some of them looked familiar to me, from the party.

I think they were both pretty obnoxious and immature. The difference was that Annie was kind to Joan's face and then ran her down off camera and Joan was mean to Annie's face and perhaps not even as hateful off camera (did you catch that she went over to hug Annie when it was over?). Joan was the same way to Clint and then we find out she had a soft spot for Clint.

I was rooting for Joan between the two but as far as who was the most likeable, professional person, I'd have to say Herschel.

Absolutely!!!!! He was VERY smart and crucial to Joan's success in the last task!

PG, never said they both weren't obnoxious. Between the two, Joan was definitely the lesser of the two evils (sorta reminds me of the last election).

The funniest line of the night actually went to Clint. When asked who he would fire, he answered, "Your editors."

I loved it when Joan said Clint was so into himself, if he went to a bar, he'd pick up himself. Another good one was when she said that Annie can do anything, the task should've been to walk on water.

I loved the way (Seth?) Green dealt with Annie's complaints about Joan. He kind of just blew it off as "comic genius."

And then when he did the video stuff, and Annie was complaining about that, he said something like, "we got it." He became one of my favorites.

I missed a little bit of the show, apparently the part where "Joan caused the design company to quit." First, if they were irked at Joan, why not still help Annie's project? Second, at first I thought that Joan was pretty rude in not letting Annie complete her sentences, but then I noticed (actually my wife pointed out, after I kept complaining about Joan) that they asked her like 3-4 times, how she completed the design without the designer -- even Donald's son commented something to the effect that "it was a pretty amazing story" -- but she kept harping on Joan's awful behavior, instead of just talking about what she did to get the job done and try to win.

Joan had her barbs at Annie, but did a good job building up her team and herself. If Annie had spoken more about herself and her team, Joan would have been less apt to interject.

There's two girls that will probably not meet some afternoon for a cup of coffee. (And if Joan get's her face pulled any tighter, the velocity alone of stuff flying out of her nose if she sneezes should require her to register her nose as a deadly weapon. She's going to have to have a permit to carry.)

I disagree. Joan didn't play with integrity. She lied. The design company quit because of Joan. Did they just quit on a whim or was it because of their interaction with Joan? Was it something Annie did? Nope.
"The Apprentice" is about teaching corporate interaction and strategy. Annie nailed it when she said Joan would have been fired in any board room for calling a fellow employee "Worse than Hitler" and accusing her friends of belonging to the Mafia. That is a lawsuit waiting to happen in the real world. Joan and Melissa both acted like babies and Annie, like any insecure person, talked to people about what Joan had said to try and gender sympathy and support. Annie didn't start the character attacks, she simply responded.
Trump put his finger in the air and voted with the wind not because she out performed Annie.

That's what I believe and if you don't agree with me I'm going to get my mother to call all of you names and I'm storming out of this forum!!!

Joan had told the design company that she wanted yellow, red and white colors used to decorate. The guy came back on the phone later and said all they had was red. He was NOT offering any suggestions at all to help design the room. Annie's design person was getting everything Annie wanted.

I have wondered if this was a "set-up" when the company pulled out. Sounds like something Trump would do just to see if Joan and Annie could handle a difficult situation. To me Annie whinned to much, but of course, Joan's mouth was pretty vocal toooo! Makes for better ratings! Plus, did you catch Trump bragging about signing for another season because of all the buzz that this season brought to NBC.

Just my humble 2 cents!

My management class watches it and we discuss business practices, ethics, decision making, responsibility of actions, etc. It was much better when it wasn't celebrities. I wore myself out editing the language that wasn't beeped. Probably won't put myself through that any more.

My class was rooting for Jesse.
