Make you want to slap yo mama.

This is a simple horderve recipe that is just delightful. First go get yourself some bacon, cocktail sausages, toothpicks, and light brown sugar. Man, I'm getting excited already. The more fat on the bacon the better. Don't even think about turkey bacon. A friend of mine tried it with turkey bacon and said it was horrible.
1. Lay the bacon down flat and cut it into 3 equal lengths.
2. Sprinkle brown sugar on top of the bacon.
3. Take 1 cocktail sausage per piece of bacon and roll it tightly in the bacon so that the bacon strip wraps completely around the sausage with the brown sugar in between.
4. Fasten it with a toothpick so that it all holds together.
5. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
6. Bake for approximately 45 minutes preferably in corningware. It's a lot easier to clean the brown sugar out of the corningware.

When the bacon looks done remove it from the oven let it cool a little and dig in. I hope no one on here is a vegan.

We've used this recipe a lot when our church provides
refreshments after a Christmas program, etc.

NEVER ever had any left! They are always a hit -
beats the crockpot/BBQ sauce recipe hands down!
You can also make them ahead of time & keep in
the fridge until you're ready to bake.

For easier clean up - we always bake on a cookie
sheet (with edges as you'll have grease) covered in
heavy duty foil (sprayed lightly). The brown sugar
carmalizes some & it can be a booger to clean up if
you don't use the foil. Corningware would certainly
be your next best option if you don't have foil.

We made the mistake of using thin foil once & ended
up throwing the cookie sheet away as the brown
sugar carmalized & leaked through a hole. We couldn't
make a dent in it.

Don't want to overbake either - as they will stick really
badly!

They are fantastic!
If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

Spray that dish with Pam. That'll keep 'em from sticking. I'm going to try this one. I have the perfect veggie dish with bacon that would go with this. Then you don't have to feel guilty about no veggies.
