2014 General Assembly...

Orlando is an excellent choice. Easy to fly into, very much an international city, eager for our business. It is a top tourist destination for people around the world. Plus, as I've said before, more people will bring their entire families, building a vacation around it.

California was a very real option for 2014 and the competition between San Jose CA and Orlando was fierce. Ultimately, Orlando won out, but I see California playing a role in a future Assembly.

It would be an IDEAL place for a General Assembly...and think of the GREAT WITNESS the denomination could have in that part of the country.

hmmm... a 20 hour drive. plus the traffic once getting there of driving for hours for a "20-minute" drive. it is what it is. I'll try to go, but it will require a week, nearly - just in travel. a flight might be nice, but then again, trying to get around once there would be horrific in taxis or rentals. - mi dos centavos. I will try to go, but can't think about it until our regional convention is over next year.

As much as I hope to get a Disneyworld vacation in 2014, I would have preferred California.

Why? Do you live there or closer or is there something else about that location that you prefer?

1. Yes, much closer. We could actually drive there in a day.
2. To move the Assembly out of the South/East part of the country.
