Why you live where you live....

Postby fezzik » March 9th, 2010, 7:20 am

Discussion:

Why do you live where you live?

Where would you move if you could have your current life/lifestyle anywhere else in the U.S.?

Basically any beach community in Florida.
Human government bears the same relation to hell as the church bears to heaven. (David Lipscomb, On Civil Government, 72).

Felt ledof the Lord to locate here in Sunny Southern Calif. Easy access to Major oversea hubs. LA has church congregations from almost every nation an island on the planet. Incredible place for networking for missions.

Have given much though to lovng to the Philippines

I ask myself that question sometimes.. WHY do I live in S. Indiana?

If I could relocate and maintain our current lifestyle, I would choose Northern California (Redding), Oregon or N. Washington State (Bellingham).
..I press on to take hold of that
for which Christ took hold of me.

Great area. I pastored years ago in Chico Calif. just south of Redding. Great church there also Pastor Bill Johnson. Power moves of God happening all the time.

I grew up in Ky in the mountains. The Navy brought me to the East coast of Va. I love it here. Lately I have been giving serious thot about retiring and moving back to Ky. It would be a serious change of pace of life. Debating.

Wife's family is from here but I love the area.
My dream would be to split my time between Jackson Hole, Wyoming and Myrtle Beach, SC.

I've lived in the south all of the short life and found no other place I liked better. So if I ever retire I would most likey stay right here, but would maybe buy a timeshare at Myrtle Beach, SC

It is HAWAII. That's why.

"For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)

Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.
and a season to enjoy them.

I would choose no place else, unless God directed me.

Less than 2 hours to the Ocean, Canada & the Mountains.

I would like a longer season to ride my motorcycle though. Thank God for heated riding gear.

My family, extended family and ministry are here.

Where would you move if you could have your current life/lifestyle anywhere else in the U.S.?

I grew up in Vicksburg, Ms and that will always be home to me. I currently reside in the Chattanooga, TN area known as Hixson, TN. I really LOVE it here and don't intend to move anywhere else unless it I one day go into the mission field. I love Hixson because it has a small town atmosphere, but i can drive 15 minutes and be in downtown chatty.
