Would you mind sharing either here or in PM an account or accounts of your own personal experience with casting out devils? How did it compare or differ from biblical examples?
Thank you,

Scooter, the following is the foundation that I stand upon when I approach someone that needs deliverance. Some may not agree with my position or theology, I have no problem with that. It is my position and I believe biblical. This is my approach and my confidence.
When God wanted to demonstrate beyond doubt to the heirs of his promise how trustworthy his purpose is, he guaranteed it by an oath. (1) So then through two things that cannot be changed — his promise and his oath — two things in God cannot possibly lie, we who flee to him for safety are strongly encouraged to grasp firmly the hope that stands before us. (He 6:17-18 )
(2) We have this boldness in Christ: if we ask anything according to his will, he will hear us! (I Jn5:14)
Galatians 3:2-5, where Paul describes two basic things we all need - indeed, in one way or another, these two benefits encompass everything you could truly want: (3)"the supply of the Spirit, and the working of miracles. " (vs. 5) You could hardly imagine any genuine need, or any promise of God, that is not comprehended in those two gracious gifts! Both blessings, says Paul, can be obtained in only one way: (4)by faith. No good work of yours, no law-keeping, no personal effort, can ever put God in debt to you to give you his Spirit or to work a miracle for you. Faith alone is the key to those heavenly benefits. But what better source of faith could there be than scripture mingled with prayer?
In the original creation, God gave men and women the right to exercise dominion and authority. (Gen 1:26-28 ). That authority was lost through the fall, but it has now been restored to us as God's new creation in Christ[2 Co 5:17: Lu 10:19) Can we now use this' restored authority to do whatever we like whenever we like? Hardly! (5)We actually have authority only to call into existence whatever God Himself has spoken to us. That is, spiritual authority must be channeled through the Word of God, and cannot be exercised outside the parameters formed by that word..
(6)The Word revealed through prayer prevents the believer from trying to use spiritual authority to do what God has not commanded, or to claim what God has not promised.
When I speak to the Demonic Spirit I tell it that is has no place nor right in the person. That it must leave, I do not argue with it nor give it any place. I tell it that it is trespassing, that according to the word The earth is the LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.(psalm 24.1!) I tell it that there is a place that has been reserved for it and it is not the person they are now indwelling and that it/they must leave. No matter how load or how demonstrative it gets, I tell it that it has already been defeated by the cross and the blood of Jesus. It has to leave. Not in parts, but it must leave completely. And it cannot hide
In the situation in Pakistan the lady had been possessed by different incantations the wearing of charms that had been given her. These are real, even if we have problems here in the states believing so. After spending some time the lady tore off the charms from around her neck, cried out and the demonic Spirit left. After violently thrashing around during the process she went limp. Her countence changed and total peace came over her. Those around immediately felt the presence of God flood the area.

You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.
