Cut out the stress, candy and coffee.
Cortisol is a stress hormone that causes weight gain particularly around
the midsection! Add in coffee and the damage increases, add in SUGAR
and you might as well throw your scale away!
I've been trying to slow down, get Enough rest and rarely drink coffee. I feel and look better already!

I just found out that I maybe a diabetic...still have another test to know for sure...but, I've already cut out sugar and lost 7 lbs. I find eating smaller portions really help and instead of 3 meals a day, I'm trying 6 small ones. The 3 regular meals (with small portions) and 3 snacks (eating fruits, nuts, etc). Plus, don't forget the water...drink lotssssss of water. Oh...I do try and walk the treadmill at least 3 times a week for the exercise. My knees are bad right now, so any other type of exercise is out.

"The Body Fat Solution" by Tom Venuto. Best book EVER. There's a chapter on emotional eating. Best plan EVER.
Tapping into the feelings that come with what you eat, that's big.

Instead of frying, bake with olive oil. More veggies and fruit. The grill is ok. I start tomorrow.

My Dr. told me to lose weight, don't eat 4 things.
Sugar
Flour
Potatos
Rice
This will work.
I lost 40 pounds while doing this.
I ate anything else that I wanted, and didn't watch portions.
It is best to bake or grill lean meats and fish.
I did not 100% give up flour and potatos. I would ocassionly
eat them. Dr. told me if I had to have some bread, to eat 100%
whole wheat bread.
Since I stopped eating wisely, about 18 months ago, I have
gained about 10 lbs. back.

Treadmill can be hard on the knees as well, best thing is a recumbent bike (like sitting in a chair with back support and the pedals more in front of you) and water aerobics. My wife has been going to the YMCA and doing those and really enjoyed it, she can't do much else with her knees and so this was the Dr. suggestion.
Tomorrow, Tomorrow, I love you tomorrow.....

about 8 years ago, we pretty much cut out sugars and enriched flour. wasnt hard to do. I still may eat some now and then, but they are not part of our daily diet. I dropped quite a bit of weight and kept it off.

I lost about 60 pounds since March last year and working on a few more. I joined weight watchers and it has really helped. I dont feel hungry and I was very surprized at how much food I could eat and not go over the points I was allowed for the day. You can either go to meetings or just join online

I just started a new diet. Very simple to be honest.
NO fast food ( Which I eat a lot)
No sweets (which I eat a lot)
NO soda ( that is all i have drank for a long time)
Eat a lot of fruit and vegetables at lunch and dinner
I started 3 days ago and I must admit it is very refreshing to eat more fruit and vegetables and drink nothing but Juice and water. I am trying to get healthier and hope to shed maybe 10 lbs.
I hope to join the YMCA this month. I am hoping all this combined can help my pain, Migraines and then exercise to help with my back/neck pain..

Otherwise known as the "no white foods" diet.
