One of many Motherly nightmares!

I thought I would share my blog with you!

Mother’s have many nightmare scenarios. Your children missing, getting hurt, all those dramatic things.

One occurred for me last night. It was HORRIBLE!!! It made me so sick, I almost puked! I pray this never happens to you.

It has to do with Falls… much like Niagara Falls, Fall Creek Falls… you know. Well, it happened to Allie. No, we weren’t on a lovely vacation somewhere. Danny and I went on a date with some friends. The kids stayed at Larry and Annette’s… I bet your mind just went to their death trap hardwood steps. That’s not it. It happened here at the house at around 5am. Allie had chowed down on junk food like Grandmothers ALWAYS let them do. PLUS pizza. She had her a good dose of heart burn. She came to sleep in my room last night without me being aware of it. She rushed over to my side of the bed and said she felt sick. I told her to go to the bathroom, get a drink, and get in the bed.

I heard her walk up the death trap stairs here at Paw Paw’s house. She reached the top…. the VERY top step right before getting into the kitchen… and puked. Oh dear baby Jesus… it was Vomit Falls. No joke. Candy, pizza crust, stomach juice. I couldn’t even get up to her without walking in the river of puke running down all 9 steps. The towels were UPSTAIRS! I had to go in my laundry room and get the only 2 dirty towels in there and make me a trail to her and the pine sol.

I made her undress and go wash up. I got the pine-sol and a clean towel. I absorbed all the juice with the dirty towels and put them straight in the washer with bleach and soap. GROSS! I almost threw up myself!!! NASTY! I pine-sol’d the steps and towel mopped them. Those steps have never been so clean. The lemon scent got rid of the stench! *shivers* I checked on Allie. She was just standing there. I told her to wash and get some clothes on. She did and got back in her bed. That is when I realized she had been in my room sleeping. I had to go back downstairs to get her cover and pillow. Grrrr.

I was sleeping good too. It woke Ben. About an hour later Silas woke up to pee and he had heart burn. He was coughing and gagging but he never puked.

So the rest of the night, until Ben got up this morning was pathetic.

So the question is… why do Grandparents think they are being so cool and nice and not realize how sick they are going to make the kids? Grrrrrrrrrr. Drives me crazy. Too much candy is never a good thing. Vomit Falls is a nightmare! Thank the LORD they weren’t carpet!

Sounds like our thursday night with my two year old! Except for the stairs, that was unique. :)

Yes I did! I thought it would make you so happy not to have little children at home anymore.

No, you will find out that you always miss having little ones around. Than you depend on grandkids. Then they grow up, so there you go. Hope you are all well now.

Oh, I remember those days.

Nothing like being woke up out of a deep sleep to clean floors and get hit in the face with a gagging smell.

But then the days are gone and you wonder what happened to the years. What happened to my babies? :(

Charlcie was about 6 months old. Had just eaten, and I, the genius of the family, got down in the floor with her. I was on my back and holding her in the air, Superman style, playing when ...... it landed totally and completely in my mouth. Two points, not a drop anywhere else. Full mouth.
