Shouldn't we all simply pray for the conviction of the Holy Spirit to fall upon our elected leaders and for them to receive Christ's salvation? Then everything from then on would fall into place because the most important thing would already be accomplished..

It's the 2 Chronicles 7:14 principle in action, led by none other than our secular leadership.
It's high time the church wields the power of prayer, which is much greater than the power of the ballot. Only those over 18 can vote, but ANYONE can pray and we need to collectively do so.
I'd challenge anyone here, even though I'm younger than most on this board, to pray for the salvation of the politicians rather than simply speak out against them and their policies. Trying to change someone's mind on a message board won't accomplish a thing, but uniting in prayer for the souls of those who lead us will get something done.
I'm not trying to say we aren't praying for them already, but let's at least make it more public that we are doing so.

MacUser wrote:one love wrote: I would have to assume many would rather seem harm rather then good....sadThat statement is absolutely obnoxious and irresponsible. No right thinking individual ( especially Christian or otherwise ) would want any harm to come to the President of the United States.
You are projecting your own thoughts. SAD.

In your above statement using context in which it was aimed at... you are including ALL CHRISTIANS... and didn't make any disclaimer ( like your second post).
