WASILLA, Alaska (AP) - Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin says she will resign from office July 26.

Her spokesman wouldn't say why Palin decided to step down, but the announcement stirred speculation that she would focus on a bid for the 2012 Republican nomination for president.

On Foxnews.com it says that Todd told Fox News that it is so she can focus on doing the things for Alaska AND THE NATION that she is not able to do while being governor.

As you know.. I am an unashamed extreme fan of Sara Palin.

Hopefully this is a move to knock the liberal crazies off their feet for a while. Meaning.. she stated that her office was bombarded with these crazy accusations to the extreme so much that they were unable to conduct state business and only focused on her.

So unlike Liberal political leaders.. whom NEVER release power for the good of others and state they represent... She does. Plus the negative liberal smear and attach machines are going to have to now change gears and figure out how to form a new attack. In the meantime.. they are forced go with the weak headline of "cut and run". This will quickly bear out soon, if so.

And as I stated.. *hopefully* this will open her up to focus on 2012 election...

and Todd can now go and kick David Letterman's butt.....go Todd.

I imagine there might be quite a few folks who are a little scared......a force to be reconed wth.....

I agree . She is got them running so scared. All the news channels are bringing all the political mumbo jumbo talking heads in and trying to read between the lines and play the announcement backwards trying to figure it out.

I think it s a great move.

Who new Mccain only got the votes he did because of Sarah palin. Democrats fear her greatly that is why the media has tried to destroy her, literally. Over and over because they do fear her, if they did not they would have not paid any more attention to her.

She either has a scandal going on

But I think she is going to start doing speeches or run for a senate seat. She is not leaving politics, she is a heavy hitter now and the Dems no it.
