Pro Bono Expertise sought

I just felt impressed to throw this out tonight and see what happens.

Growing Church with God-sized Vision seeks Pro Bono Professional expertise: Windward Worship Center is a growing COGOP congregation with a God-sized vision.

We believe God has called us to have a much greater impact in our community, and be a great church that exists to make the Name of the Lord famous. We are involved in outreach ministries such as assisting homeless shelters, discipling former convicts and people struggling with addictions, food distribution, and other compassion ministries.

We are very much an "equipping church" model, in which the Pastors (1 full-time, 1 pet-time and 2 bi-vocational voluteers) see their role as teaching, discipling, encouraging and equipping believers to do the work of the ministry.

There are just under 100 actual members now, with a "footprint" circle of incluence of closer to 200. We sense God's calling for us to move our meetings to a much more public venue… a MALL would be ideal, as that is the new community meeting place and center of casual social life.

We are going to need legal assistance, property management expertise, architectural knowledge and assistance, negotiating skills, financial advisors, assistance with other areas of professional expertise.

WWC is a congregation that unites people from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, across the educational and socio-economic scale, and from all kinds of church traditions.

I wish I could personally help you out, but none of that is my expertise. I think you have a great idea and vision. A church here in Huntsville recently purchased a shopping complex that had previously converted to Research Genetics. The Rock Family Worship Center is pastored by Rusty and Lisa Nelson. I believe they are an AOG congregation. Before that move they were in the old motel building across from UAH on University. Another church has moved in there. Rusty always seems willing to talk with others. He could probably share with you their experiences. Their website is www.therockfwc.org.
