I was able to catch this movie earlier this week. Had to surrender my cell phone and sign a confidentiality clause but now that it's out, I can share more about what I liked and didn't like about it. If you're a sci-fi nut, you have to see it, but you'll probably find the same flaws I found with the story. Not enough to keep you home but just enough to irritate you. :-)

Here's my review: http://newmanmag.com/e-magazine/121709/story2.php

I was hoping someone on here has seen and it would post about it. My boys keep asking if we can see it over the holidays. Previews make it look good from a visual point, but wasnt sure about the story.

thanks,

your right. storyline was was a bit weak, a couple of characters (the Marine colonel) was a bit goofy, but the visuals were absolutely stunning...especially in 3D. I'd definately watch it again.

I kept wishing it had been Terminator 2 in 3D. Now that was a good story with nail-biting action that would've been amazing.

I wasn't expecting much when I watched it, but I REALLY liked it! I want to watch it again in 3D!

Went to see Avatar last nite . Great movie.

I had not been to a theater in a long time.

they had the stadium seating and my spot they had for my chair was center screen about 5 rows up.

I had to take the 3d glasses off a few times. Room was moving.. LOL

Great movie.
