XXX Eating and/or drinking after one another is a huge NO NO in our house (mutual agreement). I love to cook for my wife. She's a 2nd grade school teacher and works hard (has for 25+ years), and often exhausted when she gets home. I enjoy unwinding by cooking, and she gets to just relax. And I alwa...

A wise man once told me, "My wife does what pleases me, no matter what I tell her."

Luk 21:21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; That is more than the city of Jerusalem, right. Josepus tells of after is calamity that most of the eminent of the Jews swam away from the city, as a ship when it was going to sink. (most of the prominent, high in station, rank) But...

Peter was left as the pastor, shepherd, of the Jerusalem church but not the authority over all Christians (judge is what you referred to in Duet. 17). Jesus told Peter to feed His sheep; that's what a pastor does. He did not say take my place. Paul identifies Christ in his writings as the Chief Apo...

But the sign is for him to be "in the belly of the earth" for three days and three nights, not just doing stuff in relationship to his death. If it had said merely, "three days," we could maybe claim some idiomatic expression at play, making parts of days equal to one day and al...

I'll have to say that the most baffling behavior is the rearranging of furniture. If we never changed the setup, I'd be happy. But women seem to need to "nest" every so often. They can't help themselves. I don't get upset, I know to just accept it. Now the couch is over there. I get it.

I would claim there to be a difference in arguing over who's greater, and exercising God-given authority. Moses and Aaron didn't argue about being greater, Korah and his buddies did that. But Moses and Aaron did have a special authority and would have been remiss if they did not exercise it. Upon Je...

Re: Not me

Pastor Gary wrote:As frustrating as the differences between men and women can be, I like women. A lot. I have always been surrounded by smart, funny, talented, lovely women and some of my most dependable leaders are women.

I would not want to live in an all male society for even a day.

I was'nt sure about the 10 days because of what day Jesus was crucified on. I know he was with them until 40 days after is resurrection, then only 10 days remain unto pentecost. Taken that Christ rose on the first day of the week, Sunday. "And you begin counting sabbaths after Passover." ...

I once heard that a man of exceptional reputation was offered by God the desire of his heart. He asked for a highway from Calif. to Hawaii. God told him that it was impossible: the cost was prohibitive; the resources to immense; the cost far outweighed the benefits; and the impact on the ecology was...

James made no decision but merely accepted truth along with the rest of those present. Again, it was not a meeting of the entire church. Let's say James had so no, everyone must be circumcised because God does not change and he required it of Abraham as a sign of faith? Well then Paul knowing bette...

1) Yes, they were without him only about 10 days. 2) If He wasn't in the grave 3 days and 3 nights, then Jesus was a liar, because the only sign He promised the pharisees would not have been true. "But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and t...

Actually it was the first Sunday after the seventh Saturday, making it the 50th day. And you begin counting sabbaths after Passover. Jesus was crucified on Passover evening. The first day of unleavend bread was a holy convocation -- a Sabbath (though not the weekly sabbath). That week there were 2 &...
