Anyone watch the Food Network?

Anyone watch the Food Network?

If so, what are your favorite shows?

They have really been doing some great shows on "leftovers" from Thanksgiving. Emirl did a Collard Green Gumbo this morning that just looks out of this world.

My favorite show is Paula Deen, but also like Barefoot Contessa, Neelys, Bobby Flay

YES...I love food network.

My favorite is Paula Deen---she seems to be so down to earth...country girl. And I love to hear her laugh!

I like Good Eats on Food Network and Jamie Oliver's show is really good. Overall, though, the food shows on PBS are much better. Lidia's Italy, Made in Spain, Simply Ming, Best Recipes in the World, and Mexico One Plate at a Time are all great. More about the food, and less about the host. And it's a different kind of show, but Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations on the Travel Channel is one of my favorites.

Paula Deen ba-by! You've got to love anybody
that throws a stick of butter in just about
everything they cook! I'd like to visit her set
so she can sit on my lap & feed me!

I think she's just a hoot!

I'm beginning to think that she's related
to Shellie! Hey Shellie - with all these
recipes you've been throwing around on
here - you need to try out for that "Next
Food Network" star show!
If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague.

I watch a lot of Food Network, love their shows. My favorites would be Paula, Rachel and the Neelys. The Neelys are an awesome couple cooking together. They have a super great bar-b-que restaurant in Memphis, TN.

I would have guessed you would be an Alton fan! Tim likes his shows too. I won't purposely watch it just because i like the show, but if it's on then I kinda get sucked into it. It is interesting. You know what I mean?

Paula topped my list because she cooks just like my mother, grandmother and great-grandmother did, plus has the personality of some of my favorite friends. I wouldn't miss a show.

But in the last two or three years I believe she "sold out" to the almighty $$$ and the Hollywood liberal agenda of the Food Network. Her "Party" show is embarrassing.

The last straw for me was when she had "Michelle O-BOM-A!!!!" as a guest, screaming her name like a crazed American Idol teenage girl.

I waited for a show with Sarah Palin or Laura Bush, but alas, it was a "no-show." Hello?! "Mr. Jimmy" Carter is one of her idols.

I know, I know. You're asking, "what does that have to do with her cooking?" Absolutely nothing. It's just that these days, she's more of a turn-off than on.

If her old "yellow house" shows are on. I will watch.

I watch it with Jess a lot... I also like anything with Alton Brown. He is kinda quirky but funny and enlightening at the same time. Good Eats is a good one. For some reason, Jessica thinks Giada is my favorite show. I watched the Next Foodnetwork Star and would again.
