I like Good Eats on Food Network and Jamie Oliver's show is really good. Overall, though, the food shows on PBS are much better. Lidia's Italy, Made in Spain, Simply Ming, Best Recipes in the World, and Mexico One Plate at a Time are all great. More about the food, and less about the host. And it's a different kind of show, but Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations on the Travel Channel is one of my favorites.
For the truth that lies at the heart of theology is not something there to be discovered, but something, or rather someone, to whom we must surrender. The mystery of faith is not ultimately something that invites our questioning, but something that questions us.
