Scotch Crispies

Postby deb » November 5th, 2008, 5:59 am

These are yummy - I make them for hurricane parties, Christmas dinners, and all year round.

1 pkg. Nestle butterscotch morsels
1 cup peanut butter (I use crunchy)
6 cups rice cereal

Measure cereal into large bowl.

Melt butterscotch and peanut butter in microwave safe bowl according to directions on pkg. until melted. Pour over cereal and stir until well coated.

Press mixture firmly into aluminum foil-lined 13x9x2 pan. Chill in refrigerator until firm (about 1 hour). Cut into squares.

(I don't do this, but for you chocolate lovers, you could melt a small bag of semi-sweet chocolate to spread over top.)

As a Floridian, I totally get this. :D
There never was a horse that couldn't be rode and there never was a cowboy that couldn't be throwed.

And here I had my hopes up the 'scotch referred to something other than butterscotch.
