Fresh veggies are the best. I would love to be your neighbor. We get ours at the market. Every Saturday morning the farmers bring their harvest into town. Their prices are reasonable, because of all the competition.

Oh indeed, fresh sweet corn fixed anyway is a winner. We also love it grilled. It is also wonderful, fixed in the microwave with the shucks still on.
God Bless,

Jan

One day when I was working in my garden my neighbor behind me came out to talk. She said she loves fresh tomatoes. I told her when she sees a lot ripe she can reach over and get a couple. THis evening I cut a fresh tomato for a snack and it is tasting good as I post.

Can't believe I live in Florida and don't even have a pool.

For lunch today I made up an omelet receipe that turned out really good. My wife loved it. Here it is:

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees. You'll want to use a pan or skillet that can transfer from stove top to oven.

Thin slice new (little red) potatoes

Sautee in oil/butter with diced onions and bell peppers until almost potatoes are almost tender

Beat 3 eggs with a teaspoon of water

Salt and Pepper to taste

Pour eggs over potatoes (potatoes should layer bottom of pan)

Layer slices or shredded cheese

Layer thin slices of ham

Layer of additional cheese

Top with sliced tomatoes

Salt and pepper tomatoes

Drizzle with oil

Bake for approx. 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbling

NOTE: Rambo, use Spam instead of ham and leave off tomatoes.

Try it - you'll like it!

I got up this morn and turned the tv to the local news like I do every morn. I saw there had been a shooting last night around 10pm on my route. They showed the address and I recognized it as being a guy who has been in trouble with the police in the past. Needless to say I was careful when I got to that point today.
