Top Ten

From the top games I've seen this year here's my top ten. There will be no blue kool-aid on this list.

1. Alabama - this team does not rebuild they reload. Are we beginning to see another dynasty right before our eyes? Saban is the best football coach in the college game right now.

2. Florida State - I was torn here between this team and number 3. But Florida State has a defense that can play. They appear to have speed at the skill positions as well.

3 Oregon - the ducks have speed and a good defense just wonder the level of competion they will play the rest of the way except for USC.

4. LSU - don't think they are as good as they were last year. Did not look good against an average Auburn team last night.

5. Georgia - the class of the east? Maybe have to see what happens when they face the big green lizards or the fighting chickens.

6. South Carolina - this team is good. I think they may be the best team in the east. However, they manage to lose a game they never should have.

7. West Virginia - ok call me a homer, but they have a favorable schedule to win the Big XII in the first year. They get K State and OK at home. They go to Texas. But they have the front runner for the heisman in Geno Smith and speed at the skill positions. The defense is still a work in progress but this is the Big XII not known for defense.

8. Kansas State - not real sure about how good they are but to go to Norman and beat the Sooners speaks for its self. Plus Synder maybe the best underrated coach in America.

9. Stanford - guess there is no "luck" involved this year! Let's see how they do the rest of the year. They still have a pretty tough schedule.

10. Notre Dame - the only team I hate ranking other then the Blue Horses is this team. But this team has a very good coach in Kelly but they are going to have to learn to score some points if they are going to win some games they still have left.

There you have it guys. Agree or disagree if I had a vote that would be it. Now let me know what you think. Until next week.

Rob,
Whatever your "smoking," I want a pound of it.

You have Alabama ranked #1 (which I'm not arguing against), yet you don't even have Florida in your top ten. 'Bama is 1-0 in conference play while Florida is 3-0 in conference. How can you justify ranking a team with a poorer record in conference as number 1 while ignoring the other totally, and the last time I looked 3 wins was 2 wins better than 1 win.

Hey TW great to hear from you. I appreciate the question about Florida. First let me say you post of 3 conference wins to 1 for bama surely you don't think Florida should be rated #1?

However, here is my reasoning fir not having The Big Green Lizards in my top ten. The beat an average A&M team in College Station and struggled to do it. The struggled in the first half against an average UT team and didn't look good against a awful UK team. In all honesty I think Florida is the 3rd best team in east. I struggled with my number ten team between Notre Dame and Texas. Florida would have been my 3rd choice.

WOW, TW, seriously?

Thank God it's a long season to shake your poll out. Mississippi St, and Texas Tech? No Oregon? Texas at #5. And yes if you want me to take your poll serious you are going to have to take off the SEC glasses, they do play football else where than in the south.
