The Heisman Memorial Trophy annually recognizes the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence perserverance and hard work.
These are the two opening sentences of the mission statement of the Heisman Trophy. With that being said, has the Heisman Trophy maintained it's on standard for it's winners or has it turned into a media award?
