If you have to be stroked after every sermon you might be a HMP
You cannot effectively love and minister to others when you are obsessed with protecting
and preserving yourself.

If you charge Skittles on the church credit card, you might be a HMP.

True story at a church I used to belong to.
Human government bears the same relation to hell as the church bears to heaven. (David Lipscomb, On Civil Government, 72).

If you leave a church and do your best to tear down the church and people you leave behind... You might be a HMP
"Why would God allow Hitler his chapter in history? Why would God send a whale to swallow Jonah or turn a woman into a pillar of salt? Surely there were other ways. But I'll leave the particular methods of God to God."

HMP

If you refuse to cancel poorly-attended scheduled services because you lose the chance to receive an offering, you might be a HMP.
"God is excited to show you mercy. He rises to give you His compassion." (Isaiah 30:18)

"For surely, O LORD, you bless the righteous;
you surround them with your favor as with a shield." (Psalm 5:12)

If you cancel a service so that you don't have to prepare two sermons or your leadership would prefer to be somewhere else you might be a HMP. (Sounds like a thread for another time).
