What is your source. I see nothing on Cogop org. they are still advertising the march youth conference that was canceled.

they are advertising some YOUTH Leadership training thing in SEPT in Tenn. but I think it is a bit pricey for youth workers..

Look at registration form.

This "youth conference" is a planned event by other states (I believe Alabama and Georgia together) since the one in Philadelphia was canceled. The e-mail is basically endorsing this event.

We aren't canceling our lock-in. If they can't make the lock-in, I hope they support the other. If they choose it over our event, I don't care, just as long as they are doing something for the youth. :D

I am personally proud of all of these youth groups and states for being creative rather than waiting for HQ to come up with an event to go to.

Actually it is pretty easy to get all of that talent in one night on one stage. It's called the Winter Jam tour. Catch them at a tour date near you. They will be in Nashville in two weeks I believe.

Now that was some great planning.. I went to the Winter Jam tour website. They were scheduled for a concert at the Wild Adventure Theme Park already. So all the GA/AL Youth directors did is schedule the conference at the Vision Church. Kudos to them .. I see the conference fee includes a two day pass at the Park..

This is a GREAT move by several COGOP regions to team up and create a good REGIONALLY based youth conference for their youth to attend.

MrDanger nailed it on the head when he said they didn't wait for HQ to do something.

I hope this generates a lot of attendance so HQ can see it and realize regional is the way to go.

probably not. I am either going to the lock-in or to a thing in MS. I'm not sure which yet.
