New U2 CD

Postby Paully_44 » March 3rd, 2009, 10:50 am

Not sure if there are any other U2 fans on here, but just in case.... their new CD dropped today. I would highly recommend on picking this one up. It is kind of a mix between some old school & new sounds. Great lyrics, heavy guitar riffs and unmistakeable vocals by Bono & The Edge.

Get On Your Boots has a feel of the Zooropa or Pop dancibility, but much more real. hard to explain. I was not a real fan of the direction they took during that time and was leery of this CD based on this single. But, they have mixed it up real well.

Moment of Surrender and Cedars of Lebanon are probably 2 of my favorites so far. But I am sure that will change with the more I listen.

I am so hoping their tour brings them thru Seattle again. After the last time I saw them, my son wants so bad to go this time.

I'm going to grab it from Amazon tonight. They have a 3.99 download special.

I read reviews of it over the weekend. I haven't bought a U2 album in 20 years, but I might get this one. (I've always liked them, just not a big music buyer.)

You mean Bono took time out from saving the world to still do music!??

I haven't purchased anything by U2 since Rattle & Hum (and THAT was the last RECORD I bought).

As I said before: After I saw the U2 in Drag video I was through giving them MY money.

Nah, the boys from Dublin had their sound long before Coldplay came along.

Didn't Bono get angry because everyone was saying Coldplay was the new U2? :)

I was just kidding about the "Cold Play" thing. It was a joke with some of the guys at work. When Cold Play would come on the radio, I'd say, "Oh, U2's on"

It's kinda like with Stevie Nicks is singing, someone would say "the Goat-lady" is singing again. (She just sounds like a goat to me... "Just like a white wing D-uh-uh-uh-uh-ve" Baa.)
