Conference champions from the BCS conferences (SEC, Big Ten, ACC, Big 12, Big East) and three at large berths based on a seeding committee's choices, I guess. That's pretty much how the basketball tournament works (except there's a lot more conferences involved). Dolfan, while I love the idea of a p...

[quote="TC"]OK this it NOT an excuse thread. We LOST, Not because of a few bad calls but because we could not execute our game plan. reading the rest of your thread I would hate to see you start giving excuses. Because all you talked about was the bad calls? So which was it Tony, UL lost b...

Wow, what an incredible weekend of college football!!! USC beating ND in the last few seconds, even if Bush did push Leinart into the end zone. Michigan knocking off Penn St. on the final play of the game. Bama, with a last second FG to beat Ole Miss. UVA beating FSU. Minnesota muffing a punt to giv...

Tony, here we are back to the same discussion we have been having this week. You know who this is really sad for in my opinion? The student athlete. He came to a school, in this case UK thinking he would be playing 4 years for coach Brooks, and now that is not the case at all. I heard this someone h...

Here's my $.02 worth. USC has basically played to the level of it's competition. However, the whole country knows that this game will be on national TV. USC has to many offensive weapons, they can score, ND defense is not the best in the country, good, but will give up some points (remember MSU). ND...

Dolfan,

I couldn't agree with you more. But I believe there will be a better chance of you know what freezing over before those rules would ever be agreed upon by coaches in the NCAA at any level.

Tony, get your facts straight! Hal Mumme was NEVER found guilty of any wrong doings at UK, except that it happened on his watch. The man who was found guilty was Claude Bassett. Remember in America you are innocent until proven guilty. And in this case Hal was never guilty nor was he sanctioned by t...

Wow Tony, you wrote so much I'm not really sure where to begin. I certainly did not nor had any intentions of hi-jacking this thread by throwing in about basketball. However, for the record, this Thursday, football season official ends for UK (football) fans (although Mid-Night Madness is not until ...

I guess I am old school. I miss the days when a coach and school were together for a good while. NOW every halfway decent coach jumps ship for the next best offer...Who cares about contracts, loyality or any thing else as long as you get your money. TC - does this statement apply to Rick Pitino, you...

Game of the week for October 1. Virginia Tech @ West Virginia. VA Tech looks very good right now, possibly even a #2 or #1 team in the land. Morgantown is not an easy place to play. Have not seen a line on this but I would say Tech is favored by at least 2 touchdowns. This game has the potential of ...

Let's see, being raised 90 miles from Pittsburgh, I am a die-hard Steeler fan. Thank goodness we finally have a QB in Roth(whatever)burger. Like the Colts, love Peyton. Like the Rams with Marc Bulger, WVU guy. Dislike, Cowboys, Don't like how Jones treated Landry. Raiders, back to the Madden days. D...

Well I'm a die-hard WVU (West Virginia University) Mountaineer fan for football. However, this year will be a down year for them. As a matter of fact I'm not sure the Big East this year deserves a BCS bid. Good thing UL came to the conference this year instead of last, TC. They would have never had ...
